Hello and welcome to www.myreferenceframe.com, a collection of quotes and passages from books and other sources that have improved my state of mind (and hence, my life).
Ideally you should be able to go to any page on this site and either 1) feel better or 2) learn something new and in the process, hopefully, improve your state of mind (and just maybe, your life).
If I cite a book I recommend you read it as my brief quote won’t do the author justice. Please note some of the quotes may not include the author’s original italics (or other marks of emphasis) because of the way WordPress works. Also, I’ve found the site is best viewed on a mobile device, like an iPhone, in the landscape mode.
You can also connect with us on Facebook at http://www.facebook.com/myreferenceframe.
As for me, I’m from New Orleans, went to Georgetown University for college and The University of Chicago for graduate school. Since late 2004 I’ve been living in New Orleans, working in the consulting business and investing, among other things.
My life philosophy is inspired by two poems I have up on the site: the first is called “Self-Dependence” by Matthew Arnold and the second “See It Through” by Edgar Albert Guest.
Put simply: I resolve to be myself and see it through (to the end).
If you have any questions or notice any errors you can reach me at firstname.lastname@example.org.
Thanks for taking the time to visit and I hope your day is going well.
